Vampire Facial vs Vampire Facelift

Vampire Facial vs Vampire Facelift

Stacey is one of the New Zealand trainers for all the doctors and nurses in New Zealand for Regen Platelet Rich Plasma, otherwise known as the Vampire Facelift.

At Beautiphi all the nurses are trained in Platelet Rich Plasma in either of these modalities.

Vampire Facial

A Vampire Facial is when your nurse or beauty therapist would Derma stamp® or Dermapen® over the face using tiny needles to damage the surface of the skin and then smear the sampling of plasma you have taken from the arm and spun in a centrifuge (to separate out the healing plasma from the red blood cells) across this skin so it settles into the damaged skin and causes a repair to the surface of the skin.

Vampire Facelift

A Vampire Facelift is when a nurse or doctor injects the Platelet Rich Plasma under the skin to rejuvenate the face at the SMAS level, rejuvenating the ligaments and muscles that hold up the face, rejuvenating the hyaluronic acid and fat pads of the face giving a plumping effect, as well as affecting the surface layers giving pore shrinkage and fine line effects you can get from treating the surface of the skin. Stimulating fibroblasts at this lower level is where you get the most results from your treatments.

At Beautiphi we like to do a combination of these treatments, firstly injecting the PRP down into the dermal layers followed by a Dermapen® or Dermastamp® treatment to encourage some of the PRP just injected to rise to the surface skin as well.  This, we feel, gets a double effect and a faster and bigger result.

Now that we have the U225 gun, we are doing this with the gun and having PRP injected right under the surface of the skin instead of trying to rub it in after injecting. We offer all modalities of working PRP into the skin as we feel there is no point just treating your wrinkles without also the support of youthful skin alongside a decrease in wrinkles.
